Positivity in Social Distancing April 16, 2020
Happy Thursday! I am so excited to be writing this blog post on positivity in social distancing. I feel like everyone is feeling a little down in the dumps at this point with being stuck inside for the most part. My goal for this post is to show you the POSITIVE that comes along with social distancing. Hopefully this will uplift and inspire you guys to see the positive as well. Here we go!
Spending Time with Family
This is a big one for me. Since my family and I live half way across the country from all of our family (minus some in Texas), we don’t get to see them that often. Social Distancing has allowed us to come home and spend time with them for over a month now! It has been amazing. If you are working from home, you are probably getting to spend more time with your family as well. Family time is the best time.
Not Having to Rush

Since we are ordered to stay home as much as we can, I have noticed I am no longer rushed to go places. It has been so nice to take things easy and not have to worry about being at an appointment or doing this/that on time. This has allowed me to relax a lot more. I am so thankful for that.
Having Time to Learn a New Skill

During this time, I have pushed myself to really sit down and rebrand my blog and learn a new skill. After a month, I have completed both. I successfully rebranded my blog into a completely new platform. I also took the time to learn how to make my own IG story stickers. Now instead of having to pay someone to do it for me, I can do it on my own. I highly suggest taking the time to learn a new skill during this time. You never know when you will get the chance like this again.
Making Health a Priority

Making health a priority is hard for a lot of people that have to be places constantly. During this time at home, take the time to make your health a priority. Research healthy food recipes and try new workouts at home. There are tons of at-home workouts available for FREE on the internet! This is the best time to really reflect and think about what you can do differently to improve your health. I included a workout from Simple Holistic Girl that requires no equipment.
Spring Cleaning

Usually, especially when I was working as a teacher, I barely had enough time to really get all of my spring cleaning done. Social distancing has allowed me to really clean things and organize things like I really want to. This really makes me feel good and relieves a lot of stress. The cleaner and more organized things are, the better!
Those are just a few of the positive things that I can take out of Social Distancing. I know it is not always fun, but you can make it a positive experience if you put your mind to it. It is not something that we can really control at the moment, so there is no need to get all keyed up and negative over it. Stay positive, friends! And stay safe! Make sure to comment a positive aspect of social distancing that you see!
