Complete Rebranding March 30, 2020
Happy Monday! I am so excited to finally share the complete rebranding of styledintwinacres. This year has FLOWN by. I wanted to rebrand to give you guys a more enjoyable experience and be the best resource for you guys when it comes to fashion, beauty, and lifestyle. This post is dedicated to explaining why I rebranded and to give some tips if you are looking to rebrand as well.
From styledintwinacres to lacedinlovely
The main difference you will notice in my rebranding is the name change. I changed from Styled in Twin Acres to Laced in Lovely. The change happened because I have curated my brand in to more than just “styling”. I wanted a cute, fun name that encompassed more than just fashion, but also matched my personality. With the help of my brother’s girlfriend, Annie, we came up with Laced in Lovely. I feel this name fits more of what my brand is and I am super happy with the change.
Another difference you will notice is the complete redesign of my blog. I scoured the internet looking for the perfect theme for my blog as well as the perfect logo that captures my personality and the vibe of the message I want to portray with my brand. My theme and logo sources will be linked at the very bottom of this post. I highly recommend these ladies if you are looking to rebrand your image.
Tips For Rebranding

If you are looking to rebrand, I have gathered some tips that will help you out. Rebranding is not for the faint of heart, I will admit that. I will say, however, it is definitely worth it.
Tips for a New Name
This was the hardest area of rebranding for me. I had a hard time coming up with a name that matches both my personality and what message I wanted to tell. Here are some tips to find the perfect name for you.
- Bring in reinforcements. Don’t try to do it by yourself if you don’t have to. The more minds working together, the better.
- Think about the message you want to tell with your name. Are you just a fashion blog? Food blog? Make sure your name matches your message.
- Make sure the words flow together.
- Come up with a list of words that you like. This helped narrow my search down a ton.
Tips For a New Blog Theme
When I say blog theme, I am referring to the way your blog looks aesthetically.
- Make sure the theme works with your blog platform. I have a self-hosted WordPress site, so I had to make sure the theme worked with self-hosted wordpress sites. Etsy is really good about telling you what sites their themes work with.
- Go through and find demos of the themes you think you make like. I am surprised at how many themes are cut from my list after I did the demos.
- Make sure your theme is appealing to the eye and practical for what you need. You don’t want a theme specifically for buying products when you don’t sell anything.
- If you have your own logo, make sure that you can upload it to the header section of the blog theme you are looking at purchasing.
Finding a Logo

Here are some tips I found helpful when looking for a logo.
- Make sure your logo matches you message. I wanted my logo to be feminine and vibrant. So I made sure the font and layout matched these requirement.
- Make sure the font is appealing to the eye and easy to read. There is nothing worse than paying for a logo and people not being able to read it.
- Do you want a logo that you can download and edit yourself, or one that is made for you?
- Again, I found Etsy was the easiest place to search for logos.
Tips on What Needs to be Changed Over
- Your domain name needs to be updated (you will need to purchase a new one. I use DreamHost to host my domains through
- piggy-backing off of the first bullet point, make sure you register your new site with google console
- If you have promo codes related to your old brand name, have those changed so there is no confusion
- All other social accounts need their names changed
- create new emails related to your new brand name
- Blog name, obviously, needs to be updated
Have Fun!
I hope this post gave you some insight as to why I did a complete rebranding. My hopes are that this serves you much more efficiently and better matches my aspirations for my personal brand. The tips given are what personally helped ME rebrand and may not work for you completely. It is definitely a good start though.
